Welcome to SHAPE!
At SBPC we believe God has made you for a purpose! Finding and fulfilling your God-given purpose is one of the greatest discoveries you will make in life. This online SHAPE process is a tool to help you discern your unique SHAPE and empower you to connect in a meaningful place of service. The Bible tells us, "we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
What's SHAPE?
SHAPE stands for Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experience. Although there are many paths to discovering your best place of service, the online SHAPE assessment is one way to learn more about the role you can play in God???s grand story! Getting Started (create an account)
- On the toolbar on the left side under the login area, click on Create new account.
- Complete the Registration.
- You will automatically be logged in using your username and password. As a reminder, an email will be sent to the email address you provided with your login information. Note: Until you click logout on the toolbar you will stay logged in even if you close your browser.
- Start your SHAPE Assessment by clicking on Spiritual Gifts Page One also located on the left under SHAPE Assessment. You may need to click on SHAPE Assessment to expand it.
Saving your Results
At the end of each assessment you will be given the opportunity to save your results and return at a later time to complete or revise them.
Privacy Statement and Sharing your Results
All SHAPE assessment information is confidential. You will be the only person to have access to your specific results. No Solana Beach Presbyterian Church staff member will be able to see your answers or results. However this website will be keeping statistical data. This data will include information such as the number of people who take the assessment or how the Spiritual Gifts are distributed, i.e. how many have the Spiritual Gift of Administration, Mercy, etc. Please be assured we will receive statistical data only with no names attached. It is up to you to take a print out of your results with you should you choose to meet with somebody on staff.
Choosing Your Place of Service
Once your assessment is complete, you will have two options to view Service Opportunities that exist through SBPC. The first option links you to opportunities that best match your SHAPE. The second option allows you to search the complete list of Service Opportunities. Whichever you select, the intention is to empower YOU to make a choice to serve in a position that interests you. If your first choice does not feel like a fit, we invite you to keep trying until you find the right match.
